First the thing with Jared… I received two emails from him today… I don’t know what happened with that but the same thing happened with my mom… I didn’t get her emails one week… then I got them but last week I didn’t get anything from him… I think that’s what happened.

So ya I don’t know anyone from Peru very well… just one of my companions but he is half and half… his mom is from Peru and his dad is from the states and he didn’t know Spanish before his mission just English. So with him, he talked to his grandma for the first time without a translator… it was pretty cool for him to talk with his grandma.

Right now I’m in a new area and all so I’m trying to get to know all the members. They seems nice and all but really I have only talked with a few of them for a few minutes on Sunday so I don’t know what they are really like… my companion is from californai… but everything is good here in Guatemala… truly I love this country… its so cool here. A bit dangerous sometimes, but I really enjoy the country. I have a shirt that says 100% chapin o guatemalteco…. And I feel like I belong here.

carta 2/21

So this week was normal for me too… my relationship with the ward and all is getting better but we’ll see what happens… we are working with the organizations more and all but there are still some th ings but it is normal. We are just trying to do all that we can and wait until they help us… we have some investigators that we have found through los rejistros de ensenanza (teaching registry?)…. We found a young boy that says he wants to be baptized and what happened was the elders were taken out of the area and they didn’t leave his name for the next missionaries to teach him. We took him to the chapel yesterday. We just have to teach him a little and see if there is support from his family. He is the only person right now that is progressing and everything is good with him. There are a few others but they didn’t come to church and they’re harder to find. Who knows what will happen with them… they told us we have cambios tonight so we will see if we have cambios or not.
