hey so not much new this week....my comp has like 7 months in mission and is from nicaragua like i said....ok so i guess that this week someting super cool happened...elder ballard came to guatemala...elder christofferson came too but he went to other places....and elder burton also went to other places he went to see the temple in xela...so that is pretty cool they are going to dedicate it this year sometime in the next 6 months i think somewhere around that time period....so yea that will be sweet but elder ballard is sweet he talked in english because he doesnt know spanish so that was good to here him and all that....he talked of the importance of the investigators praying and recieving an answer for themselves if they dont pray they will never recieve their answer so it was just that they need to do it and we need to follow the spirit to then be able to know what to say and when to have them take the steps and all that....
elder clark the area president talked about missionaries and when they get home they are "weird" well he said i think that they said of jose smith and jesucristo that they were not normal either....we came on missions to be better to change if we go home the same then we did something wrong for 2 years. we dont need to and shouldnt go homw and change right back...its not right....we made habits and are stilll making habits and to do stuff for 2 years and than go break those habits when we get home isnt something that should happen....so it was a super good conference it was just missionaries so that was fun to jsut focus on what he is saying and not have to worry if the investigators are understanding what he is saying or if they are just competly lost....so it was good to just enjoy it....
ok so i dont know if you remember that i said something about how gringos eat better than lats....well my comedor or the place that we eat lunch at she told me that she doesn't want to keep giving us food because my comp doesnt like anyhting that she gives us and it gives her pena i dont know how to translate that....its like she feels bad or she is a little offended maybe....im not positive...so thanks to him i don't know what i am going to do for lunch and i really don't want to cook so that will be fun to figure out i am going to try to talk to her and see if she will keep on doing it but i have till the end of the month to talk her unto it or fins someone new.....thanks a lot comp.....
ok so on shutting down im not sure what to say ....i think that really it is his diet i know that when i eat a bunch of crap that it is bad and if its the same thing with him to have a good diet and not just eat a bunch of sugar and stuff like that...i know its hard but i think its also a state of wanting to not shut down....elder ballard said something to the extent of just get over it and go on...he was talking about being excited and being happy in general...so really its like this if you want to be happy you are going to be a lot more happy than someone who doesnt want to be happy or isnt focused on being happy....so i think that is part of it too...on just wanting to not shut down...but who knows im no doctor...but that is what i think.. love you
